• He acquired the practice of Sheridan & Kenny Solicitors in 1980.
• He continued the business in Eustace Street, Dublin 2 where it had been established in 1879, before moving it to Dun Laoghaire in 1983.
• That firm was then amalgamated into Partners at Law solicitors in 1993.
• He was admitted as a solicitor in England and Wales in 1994.
• He served as President of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association 1995/1996 and presently serves as chairman of its Probate and Tax Committee.
• In recognition of his work with the Association he was recently elected an honorary life member.
• He founded the Parchment Magazine in 1995 and is currently a member of the editorial board.
• He spent 7 years on the Council of the Law Society of Ireland (LSI) serving in that time as chairman of many of its committees including education, practice management, younger members and presently serving as chairman of the Probate Administration and Trusts Committee.
• He lectures occasionally in the LSI School of Law.
• He is also a Notary Public which is an independent office apart from the firm. He is a member of the Governing Council of the Faculty of Notaries Public of Ireland.
• He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, a global organisation having its headquarters in the UK.

Justin handles services within the firm to include trusts and estates, wills, probate and administration, powers of attorney, wardships, tax planning and property.
