Andy is one of our Senior Associate Solicitors,  specialising in criminal defence advocacy. 
Andy handles a varied caseload and represents clients on a Legal Aid and Private Client basis. 
Andy represents client’s interests and advises from the point of arrest and detention in Garda custody through to the preferring of criminal charges and appearance before the Court. (Please see our Section entitled Arrest and Advices in Garda Custody).
Andy appears before the Courts on a daily basis, predominantly before the District Courts throughout Leinster and the Circuit Criminal Court. Andy is experienced in both bail and custody matters.
Andy has a vast experience in the following areas of criminal defence practice;
• Misuse of Drugs
• Theft and Fraud
• Assault and Non Fatal Offences
• Sexual Offences
• Road Traffic Offences
• Domestic Violence Offences
• Criminal Damage 
Andy heads up our Circuit Court Trials Department and acts as a Supervising Solicitor to Trainees participating in our training programme. 
Andy has a varied case load and is experienced in matters before the Superior Courts, where he has particular experience in the areas of Judicial Review,  Extradition and Habeas Corpus. Andy deals with appeals before the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court, where he has secured success on behalf of clients.
Andy has a particular interest in the area of Juvenile Justice and deals with matters before the Children’s Court.
Andy is an experienced prosecutor, acting for Semi-State Agencies and Local Authorities before the District Court and on appeal.
Andy holds a post Graduate Diploma in Employment Law from the Law Society and regularly appears on behalf of both employers and employees before the Workplace Relations Commission and the Labour Court.
